All the properties included in them have "another Toledo," Toledo hidden for centuries that is slowly coming to light. They are represented elements of different types and ages, who once played an important role and have become part of our history. The recoveries of these properties are clear testament to the interest of the Partnership in the City of Toledo for the preservation, enhancement and enjoyment of our heritage. |
Among the properties that can be visited almost daily on these routes, some of them declared of Cultural Interest (BIC), are:
- The Arab Baths and Cenizal Tenerías
- The Caves of Hercules
- The vaulted basements and the well of El Salvador
- The Roman Baths Square Amador de los Rios
- The Tower of San Andres
- The Tower of San Miguel el Alto
- The Mosque of El Salvador
- Islamic Salons
- The Tower of the Savior
- The Tower of St. Cyprian
- The Tower of San Román
- Convent of Santa Isabel (Patio of Nursing)
| Visits can be done individually or in groups. In the latter case it is advisable to schedule the visit in advance to avoid overlapping of several groups on the same day and time. To organize these visits are handled by the Center for Cultural Resource Management, opened by the Consortium's own Roman Baths Square Amador de los Rios. In this important archaeological site, recently recovered by the Consortium, has enabled a customer service office that offers several possibilities. | |
| For one thing, to contemplate the remains recovered from the own Spa, along a path through a wooden walkway located on the various elements, such as driving Roman, medieval wells, walls and floors prehistoric signinum Roman opus, for another, book day and free time to visit the properties included on the Road "unknown heritage" and, finally, also to become an effective Research Service Office. This has attempted to respond to an old challenge: getting involved in an archaeological site to be opened daily to the enjoyment of society, thus ensuring its maintenance and conservation in the future, one of the fundamental problems of our archaeological heritage . |
The Consortium of Toledo City continues to work on the conservation and restoration of various monuments and sites of the city and will incorporate the routes as they become finalized the different enhancement actions.
